Effectively Communicating with Autistic People

Over talking and bombarding and autistic person with information can make sound feel the way this picture looks.

Whoa! I’ve had two telephone calls today. Both callers wanted me to take out advertising for their publications. At least that’s what I thought the first guy was on about. He asked so many questions and talked so much on top of scrolling through search engines while I was in front of my laptop.

I had to end the call. If you’d have taken off the top of my head, it would have looked something like the picture here. The second chap got straight to the point, was very direct and answered my questions. He has also send me a media pack. Chances are, I’ll take out an ad with his magazine.

If you’re trying to get information across to an autistic person, keep it crisp and clear or the information gets, well, blurred and doesn’t make any sense at all.
